Tours in France

Follow me on week-long getaways in my favorite regions of France!

Discover France through expatriate eyes!

France is a country literally packed with history, culture and diverse regional traditions. Here are some of my favorite destinations that have become beloved by my clients/friends.
If you’re a group or an organization I can also customise these experiences for 6 to 8 people. Let’s make it happen!

Périgord

Join me for 7 days and 6 nights in the heart of Le Périgord. We will be welcomed by Diane & Eric Anthoniessen at their Chateau Ladausse for gastronomic meals, elegant accommodations, swimming, and of course a river of local wine. Our visit will include a visit to Le Bugue and lunch on market day, wine tasting with the Comte Saint-Exupery at Chateau Tiregand, a truffle hunting lunch and more…

Burgundy

Our Seven day and six night gastro/vino tour begins in Lyon the cradle of French
gastronomy and will include visits the Institute Lumiere and the Silk Workers and of
course meals in the famous bouchons (local argot for bistro). We will then motor through Beaujolais to taste Morgon and other AOC wines (not to be confused with that grape juice they serve on the third Thursday of November) before arriving in Burgundy for nearly non-stop dining and drinking-Rabelais would have loved this trip.

Champagne

Get yourself into a festive mood and follow me for an overnight in this bubbly paradise! The trip will include daily visits to my favorite boutique wineries (only 100,000 bottles annually)–none of those marquee names that industrially produce 2 million bottles per year. And every meal will feature a range of champagnes.

Terrance, many thanks for sharing your traveler’s tales. Although a vast number of “guide” books on France already exist, none of those have what only you can provide – you, always an inimitable raconteur. Your connaissances, your bonhomie, your joie-de-vivre enliven these singular anecdotes. TRAVELS IN FRANCE WITH TERRANCE is informative, entertaining and sans pareil . . . Chapeau!
S. Rosenberg, Book-buyer Brentano’s-Paris 1984-2009

The trip to the Périgord with Terrance was like a dream come true. Eric, the owner of Chateau Ladusse met us at Agen station and we were off. The scenery took my breath away, all shades of green and Lilacs in bloom everywhere. I felt as if my 'Fairy Godmother ' had waved her magic wand and put me into one of the most beautiful rooms. my view of the grounds was spectacular. The wine and food presented by Eric and Diane was beyond Michelin stars. Then came the next highlight -- meeting the celebrated author Martin Walker. We were invited to his home for a grand lunch prepared by his wife. Martin's Bruno, chief of Police series has been most successful. Even the wine he produces carries the Bruno label. Needless to say, the wining and dining with exclusive company was over the top. By all means, this is an adventure not to be missed!
Angela Bellante, Petaluma, CA

'This was our second trip and it was a delight. Chateau Ladausse is a wonderful place and Diane and Eric make the experience very special. Martin Walker and his wife Julia were also superb hosts. They welcomed us with delicious food, conversation, wine and hospitality! Altogether, a terrific time in Le Périgord.”
