WOW! Conversations from Paris by our American friend in Paris Terrance Gelenter is à gem. The intriguing and beautiful front cover illustration invites us to listen in on intimate, interesting and informative conversations-between friends. And Terrance has some very noteworthy friends. Writers, Filmmakers, Film Experts, Chefs, Leaders in many Fields. Some you will be familiar with and some you will be very happy to meet for the first time. One of my favorite conversations was with Film Noir Expert and Expert Bartender Eddie Muller who is a host on TCM Classics TV Channel. His famous tag line is « See you in the shadows », and I do most Saturdays at midnight EST. If you are a fan of classic movies I encourage you to have a pad of paper and pen handy to jot down all of his recommendations. The chapters/conversations stand alone if you only have a short reading break. But this book is hard to put down. I know, I finished it this morning at 2 am. Well done.
