Le Comptoir de la Gastronomie
It's been around since 1896 but I just discovered it thanks to my friend Bob Glaser.
The menu is overwhelmed by the flavours of the South-west so we began with a glass of Cahors followed by a salad of mixed baby greens dressed with a tangy walnut oil vinaigrette. The cassoulet was copious and perfect at just 18 euros.
Bob's magnet de canard was moist, pink and delicious.
We skipped it but the profiterole was perfect for four.
On your way out the epicure and stock up on your favorite South-west treats.
