Although the name BLUEBERRY suggests Fats Domino in a satin suit hammering the ivories or breakfast at an IHOP, Blueberry is in fact a superb Japanese restaurant.
Tucked into a narrow, hidden street just a few blocks from Saint-Germain des Prés, Chef Luu has fused classic Japanese sushi with California maki.
I was joined by my daughter who was writing a review for her site, Paris S'il Vous Plait and Thomas, the cool manager, started us off with house versions of the classic Venetian Spritz.
We placed ourselves in Thomas' hands and were rewarded by an insecribably delicious Tataki of beef with marinated cilantro, oignons and piment d'espelette.
This was just the beginning of a procession of tasty concoctions created by Chef Luu that left me planning a return visit and before we celebrated with a trio of desserts that would been at home on any French menu.
